Sangarai is place about 50Km From Anna Nagar.
It is off State Highway (SH) 51 (4km away from SH51).
Practically un-reachable. And the residents are considered “Untouchables”. Yes, even to this day, in the 21st century, India has “Untouchables”.
There is absolutely no outside help for this community. They have no Bus service to reach SH51.
They have walk through fields to get to the highway, because it is apparently shorter.
If you talked to the people here, you will realize how much we are blessed.
After we conducted this project, they told Tanveer, our Director of Operations, that they will never forget what we have done for them. It was so touching.
There are some things that cannot be said – it can only be felt.
And this was one of those times.
